About Me

Growing up my main sport and passion was soccer, but after spending time in Montana and Colorado while I was in college, I was pretty much hooked on anything that involved mountains.  My adventures with traditional style backpacking soon turned into fast and light trips, which eventually led me to ultra running: the best way to see a lot of mountain terrain in a short amount of time.

Now, I'm a dedicated mountain runner and racer, and I call the weathered western Wyoming landscape home.  I'm also a husband, father, high school social studies teacher on the Wind River Reservation, and occasionally a Wyoming Olympic Development Program soccer coach.  But in reality, mountain running is what keeps me up at night, motivates me to take care of myself, and push me to the limits.

Follow along as I run, race, adventure, and struggle through the ups and downs of mountain running.
